Thanks Deathmonger, I never thought about changing the firmware to a 3rd party one. The DSL modem has an option that I remember changing before. Bridged or PPPoE, one allows it to be just bridged to another router so it takes over any request to router, or PPPoE simply a modem that does not do routing functions, and lets Linksys dial through PPPoE with DSL username and password.
I am going to just try to revert it back to its original settings and will set Linksys to dial using DSL account information.
