There really isn't a process. I installed google maps to my main memory. I did run quick gps over the data and updated it. I then turned off my data connection and fired up google and it aquired satellites no problem and I was off and running. You actually don't need to run quick gps, it just makes aquiring satellites faster. You may want to uninstall and reinstall google and try again..
