Well...after alot of fiddling around I have managed to solve the problem of my porous audiology with the rx4540. As I suspected I wasn't doing everything correctly in terms of audio settings. I found by unchecking the enable headphone equalizer and enable 3D sound for the purposes of in car audio I have managed to yield pretty respectable sound quality within my car. I'm going to stick with my cheap 'n' nasty tunecast transmitter. I have read a number of reviews of the latest offerings from belkin and frankly, they left me cold.
