I have a Plantronics 910 headset that I'm writing up a review on. I can mute both phone and PDA settings on this particular device and I do get a tonal notification of an incoming call.
I've not tried #2 yet. May give it a shot here tonight or tomorrow AM.

(3) The MS voice command is surprisingly better than I expected based on comments I've read on this site. I was surprised to see it would tell you the time or date. (Don't know why it's needed). Is there a list of all the commands supported? (I know the manual shows an index of the software apps supported by voice command, but not the actual commands recognized.
