quite frankly, I don't use the front dialpad very often.
With MS voice command, virtually all phone functions can be processed handsfree using BT.
I don't know anything about the VX6800, but would recommend you to compare as much as possible before you decide.
These things are not cheap and data plans are expensive, so take your time in deciding.
pdaphone.com is a good source of information on both models from actual users that I would recommend to compare and see the pros and cons of each.
I can say that since owning my I760, I've not used or missed my 51V and will likely sell it as time permits.
