My main memory is down to 7.41 mb free space in the Storage memory (total=50.40mb with used=42.99mb) & 23.79 mb of free space in the Program memory (total=48.20mb with used=24.41mb). I have found that my PPC won't return to the "Today" screen - it won't shut down something like the Telephone interface, or the Programs interface or the Settings interface or maybe the Text Messaging interface. Even going back to the "Today" screen doesn't bring it up. This happens every few days and the only way to get it to clean itself up is to soft boot it. I'm hoping to achieve two things with the memory upgrade - #1: reboot it much less frequently, & #2: have it speed up just a little bit. I've found that it seems to slow down when it's about to quit returning to the "Today" screen, and that's what I want to avoid (not necessarily SPEED UP the PPC, but to avoid the slow-downs).

Definitely, IF I let them do the memory upgrade, I'll come back & post the results in a new thread on this forum. I'm leaning VERY heavily toward letting them do it, but want to get their response to the questions I emailed them, and will definitely be waiting until we return from our family trip to Galveston & Baton Rouge (can't miss their St. Pat's party & parade on Saturday!).

If I remember correctly, you're a bit further east than that. Otherwise, if we were close, I'd make it a point for us to try to give you a "Proper Thanks" for all the help you've given me over these past 14 months since I got this thing. We bought a second one for my wife this past September, & she's really been thrilled with how it works (tho it has the same reboot requirements as mine, so I may have HER PPC memory upgraded, too, if mine works as I want).

Oh, & I just noticed that the banner at the top of my window is from PPC Techs! I have gotten to where I don't even see the banners on any of the websites I visit, but because I was just at this site (& that may be the reason the banner presented itself to me - there was a long article in today's newspaper about how advertisers are better able to tailor the banners you see to your shopping & surfing habits), it kind of "popped" into my vision. Very interesting.

Thank you!
David
