I'm not so concerned about the clock issue. (Although, perhaps I should be, as it may be related to the other problems.) Battery power consumption appears to be normal, i.e., what it always has been (no better/worse). However, I'm more troubled by the fact that, every six months, I need to reboot my entire system. I'm loath to call Dell, as their tech support leaves much to be desired. Barring, that, I'm left with few options. The sad part about it is, when the Axim works, it works VERY WELL, and I'm very pleased with it, but performing a hard reset twice a year to get things working right is for the birds!
