Wow! Thanks for all the feedback. I really appreciate it!

I currently have the ROM A12 upgrade and specified (to Dell) that the refurbished unit must have it too. (I know earlier x51v's did not). Otherwise, I will return it! So, I'll be looking out for that when I get the refurbished unit in a few days.

I'm beginning to think my apps may be the problem. I run the following 3rd party apps fairly frequently: Pocket Informant 2005 (a PIM interface); TextMaker (replaces, and is far superior to, Pocket Word); Adobe Acrobat for Pocket PCs 2.0; VisKeeper (password database program); True Toolbar (replaces Task Switcher); Pocket HP15C (HP 15C emulator); WorkBook (Pocket PC dictionary); MobiPocket (reader); Vsnotepad Classic (notes program). I suspect one of these programs (or a combination of them) may trigger the erratic behavior. Hard to say.
