Nice Scottish bumps, and a general Europe theme last couple of posts.

Ken

noun: 1. Perception; understanding: complex issues well beyond our ken. 2. a. Range of vision. b. View; sight.

transitive verb: 1. To know (a person or thing). 2. To recognize.

intransitive verb: To have knowledge or an understanding

I also think it's interesting the Germans have the word 'wissen' for knowledge like facts but use the word 'kennen' when talking about being familiar with things, like people.

Hope this hasn't been too long or boring a bump.
