Thanks for asking, but yes, I'm sure. I would get very rare half second blips of sound, though the sound from the headphones was fine. Of course, I plugged and unplugged the headphones several times as well. But the dead give-away that it was the speaker was that the sound stopped mid-word while using the GPS (without headphones).
