DVD player
DVD Recorder
2 VCRs (but they're not hooked up properly)
Surround Sound speakers incl Center, 2 fronts, 2 rears and a sub

Can someone point out a schematic diagram with hook up instructions? The DVD recorder came with instructions but doesn't tell me how to hook up all my components.
depands on how you want it to work as well. is the stereo reciever the "center " of your setup?
i mean does it have support for multiple inputs and outputs?

basically the playing devices need to be hooked up to an input on the reciever. the recording devices hooked to an output from the reciever. and for the vcr's if you need them , they can do both......so output from reciever to input on vcr and output on vcr to input on reciever.... for the picture.. best available output from the reciever to the tv. but this is assuming that the reciever can be controlled as to which input is going to the tv and ability to redirect output to a recording device while watching from e ithe another device or direct tv.. as box said it isnt hard once you know what you want the equipment to do.. easier if you are sitting in front of it than over the net.... lol
