Do you want to hear the sound of your direcTV from your home theatre, or just TV is fine? I just hooked mine up to the TV since it is a hassle to turn on everytime I want to watch something.
Wait a minute, your TV has only one Vidoe IN (Composite/RCA) Connection? No S-Video? No Component/HD input? No DVI, no HDMI? That sounds pretty difficult to believe, for 50" TV not to have any one of these ports.
