Even more odd is that all three went to the same person and that nobody else in the forum is reporting the same issue. I know that JakeRich knows what he's doing, but I'd think that if it was a widespread issue that more than one person on the forum would be experiencing the issue. Very, VERY weird.
JakeRich, one question: Did you swap all of the hardware, including the AC adapter with each unit or did you keep the original hardware EXCEPT the iPAQ and just return the iPAQ? The reason why I ask is that I'm wondering if the AC adapter might really be the culprit. Or possibly the power cable. Something in the power supply chain bringing dirty, overvolt or overcurrent to the iPAQ, causing the battery/iPAQ to malfunction.
