Found what appeared to be suitable from Hong Kong (Echobey was the supplier), 12 months warranty included. Trying to fit it in the other way the contacts still did not make contact. This battery was advertised as fitting X50 and X51V. After many emails I arranged to have the battery replaced but after sending it back I heard nothing more from the supplier. Luckily I had lodged a claim with Paypal and will now get a refund.
Beware of the batteries from Echobey Hong Kong, they don't fit X51V and the replacement service is non existant.
Sorry to hear about your experience. I do have several replacement batteries for both of my X51Vs. I chane them out each evening placing the drained battery in the charger/sync cradle. There are other internet sources for batteries that are great if you do a google search on 'X51V replacement battery' you should find them.
