I quite agree with the video playback issue.

Interesting because apparently our sister site, Tiltsite, also ran an
article about that issue as it related to the TyTN II.
I tend to be in meadowlark's camp. While there are some quirks with the X7501, I'm not sure I feel comfortable with excessive modding as it applies to the hardware/ROM. And I too wish XDA Developers was more efficiently laid out, with condensed HOWTOs for some of those ridiculously long threads about ROM/Radio cooking.
