If you looked at one of my earlier posts, I compared the top half of the x50v and loox720 (both made by HTC) and they are almost identical.
If you can grab the USb drivers from the 720's rom, that would be good. There are several besides the USB client driver. I have not had time to pull apart the 720 rom I have.
Essentially, I need to find out if the 720 uses the built-in host port (port 1) or if it is using the USB-OTG port. Or, it might be using a 3rd party USB host interface chip.
Since the 720 has separate client and host ports, it most likely does not use USB-OTG. It's either host port 1 on the pxa270 or a 3rd party chip.
