Thanks Bill_Todd for starting this thread. I started having the problem of the time resetting upon battery change about 3 months ago and decided to use the program from mikelspikel for the time being because I don't change batteries that much. But then my x51v started doing the battery latch was opened thing and I decided to fix both things at the same time. I ordered 3 caps from Mouser and installed one as well as soldering a jumper wire across where the battery latch switch was. My x51v works like new again. I removed the battery for 30 seconds or so and it held the time in memory!! WOOOHOOOO!!! :approve:

I'm a happy camper- no more need for the program (sorry mikelspikel, great program, but I don't need it anymore) and no more battery latch messages.
