Try:

Bluetooth a contact
infrared remote his TV
Pocket TV listings
Offer him a movie on your SD card
Insist he give you some movie in exchange
Take him out to the bush where there's no WiFi or Cell signal. Pretend to go Pee and GPS your way out of there leaving him alone.
