I have 45MB of 85MB program memory free. I don't seem to have to push on the screen any harder, but have noticed twice that what opened was a good finger-width away from where I pressed.

Ditto for me on both counts. I noticed it playin SPB Freecell so I loaded an old MS version and it still lags. The device seems like it is busy doing somrthing else, but no other programs are running and no screen taps are stored and then run as is normally the case when things are just bogged down.
