Mobility Site - View Single Post - GPS/Garmin/nRoute

Hello and good evening,

I am having problems using my Axim X51V as a GPS.

I am using a GlobalSat SiRFStarIII CF-Receiver ( installation ok, works fine on its own ) and have bought Garmin Mapsource WorldMap ( I have worked with a Garmin GPS before and like it ). Managed to load that on my SD-card ( 2G) as well which is in the Axim slot ( A nice function of the Garmin system that you can plan everything on your PC and than transfer to the SD-card ).

Downloaded nRoute_276 from Garmin as the actual software. That works fine on the PC but when I put it on the SD-card and start the program from the SD-card using file explorer I do get a message “ nRoute_276 is not a valid pocket PC application” and the program refuses to start.

Any ideas please ?

( I like to stick with Garmin if possible, they cover the whole world, the MapSource-system looks great; I do not need en detail street maps or navigation by voices, no fancy calculations etc, just a plain map with tracks, points etc.; I have a “proper” GPS as well and use the Axim as a nice add-on and Gadget or back-up )
