If your drive actually is a '8GB seagate st1.2 Drive microdrive' then it was made for devices utilizing CF external memory. As I indicated above I have one of these st1.2 8gb Seagate microdrives and it has worked well for me. There were two issues with it, one removal of the microdrive from my CF slot required placing a small piece of clear packaging tape onto the microdrive itself forming a removal tab to pull on instead of using a plyers. The second issue was the care required in handling the microdive since it actually had moving parts inside. I now use this drive to hold pictures of the contents of my home for insurance sake and store it in my bank box. I have replaced it with a 16gb CF memory card which has no moving parts. :approve:
