I think you'll find others here who can speak favorably of these particular programs--there are a few threads about pocket plus because it has been around for some time, and there are many favorable comments about the more recent shell program.
One important note--If you have an x30, you will not have the operating system required for mobile shell, which SPB's site lists as requiring WM5 or WM6. Pocket plus can be used with Windows Mobile 2003 and more recent systems.

I am on the handster website and there is a green check mark with a line saying that it's compatible with the axim 30. It also shows 570,925 people downloaded it.
lol I'm guessing maybe it is... well hoping it is!
