GPS has come a long way in the past few years, so, it's hard to imagine future improvements. One thing I'd like to see is a program that goes from auto/road tracking to foot tracking. This would be helpful for getting around malls, amusement parks, and walking unknown downtown areas. Locking in a starting point when you park you car could make returning to it much easier.
