Mobility Site - View Single Post - GPS/Garmin/nRoute

Hi there, I am back after a lot of travel without the AximGPS.
Anyway, I like to get it sorted.

Current set-up :

- Axim x51v
- GlobalSat SiRFStarIII CF-Receiver ( installation ok, works fine on its own ), on Com4 of the installation program ( named GPSInfo )
- bought Garmin mobile XT-software and map ( UK&Ireland ) on the usual SD-Card and upgraded to Garmin mobile XT for windows mobile, latest version

now : Garmin XT opens fine.....first had a lot of problems finding the GPS....anyway, after a lot of trying I did set the Axim-program ( settings ) for GPS to manual on
-GPS program port : Com4
-GPS hardware port : Com2 ( Baud rate 4800 as always )

Then sometimes, only sometimes, the GarminXT program finds the GPS on Com4 ( even when preset on this program to Com4 ) and shows maps and routes etc, very nice. So no need for a splitter program, apparently.

However, after maximum 3 minutes the whole thing freezes and I have to soft-restart the Axim.

There are no other programs running and it freezes as well when I just walk around, no car driving. It freezes with and without language-guided driving.

Please, any ideas ????

What ports are others using ?
