yes, soft-reset (pressing the button on the back) is what I do for rebooting.

I always check not have other tasks in the memory. So, OS (and its other tasks) and Dell Navigation are only programs I can see in task list.

When I say navigator sw cannot connect to gps, I dont mean x50v is stucked or halted, neither dell navigotor sw itself is not working. I can still press and see the 'satellite view (?)' screen of the dell navi sw. However I can see that data communication (well, one-way reception) is not wokring.
Also, my CF gps can signifiy me its working status, and one of them is 'blinking' light, meaning that it is receiving 3 or more satellite signals well. While I see my cf gps is receiving 3 or more satellite signals...., well my dell navigator sw seems not getting those data from satelllite.
