SD Card Problem

I tried searching a bit and didnt really come up with what I was looking for...

I have a Transcend 8GB SDHC class 6 SD Card. I've been using it with my Canon camera and computer for a couple months now and have had no problems. I recently went to use my camera and it said i needed to format my card, which I though was a bit odd since I formatted the card with the camera when I got it.

I tried formatting it and it said "Cannot Format Card" "Change Card". So i put it in the computer and it said the card needed to be formatted so i clicked OK. It then told me it couldnt do it. Now when I opened the Format Card thing it said "Capacity: 512MB". Only problem is its an 8GB Card, not 512MB.

I opened the command prompt thingy and tried that way...here is what I got:

C:\>format e: /u /fs:fat32
Insert new disk for drive E:
and press ENTER when ready...
The type of the file system is RAW.
The new file system is FAT32.
Verifying 0M
The volume is too small for FAT32

Do I need to get a new one? Is is possibly covered under some kind of warranty maybe through transcend?

Thanks
