I ran DateBk3/4/5 (6 came out after I switched from Palm) for much the same reasons. I guess I am a "power user", but something as basic as repeating and recurring tasks and appointments just does not work right (on Palm or on WM) with the built-in software.

The DateBk product on Palm had a number of different ways it could be configured, including "applets" that could invoke custom saved views.

The DateBk application had a standard view that split the screen, placing tasks and calendar into separate sections. I miss that somewhat.

I did find a product for WM that I like. It does include a number of different views, including Daily, Weekly, Monthly Agenda, Timeline, Events, ...

Try them. Find out what you like.
