Did you try the Activesync trick?

If that does not work, try getting into the bootloader. My theory is that as long as you can get into the bootloader, your Axim is not bricked.

Steps:
1. Press and hold the Power Button and Wi-Fi button (On the side)

2. While holding the two, poke the reset hole (On the back) ONCE

3. Once a screen pops up, release the Power button and Wi-Fi button
