We try to weed out trolls, and Ivan Awfulitch is not one of them as Box noted. Though, as a rule it's impolite to join a forum and refer to senior members as trolls.

As for X51v versus iPod Touch, I've owned both, though my iPod Touch is a first generation version, which doesn't have bluetooth that is now supported in OS 3.x for the iPod. Of course if you're looking at the 2nd generation with OS 3.x then bluetooth hardware support isn't an issue.

One other item not mentioned in this thread is multitasking. I can switch between multiple items in WinMo, so far none of the current iPod family support this feature, though there is rumor of a version in the works.
