Anyway, when using the dpad to move around the map it seems to get "stuck". I can move around the screen but when the pad is released it takes me all the way to the top of the map and stays there. This is the only game I have used this button for so far. How do I determine if it is a hardware or software problem?

Unfortunately this is a harware problem. I had the same issue with both the 400 Mhz and 300 Mhz model (returned both for a refund). For the price you really cant beat the Axim and Dell will eventually work this out if they haven't done so already. I just couln't wait and ended up getting the iPAQ 1910 which I am very happy with. The Axim blows the iPAQ away as far as performance thou.
