I hadn't seen your earlier post until now but the thing I though of as I read through is that you may have some interfering signal in the area (another network or other equipment such as a cordless phone or microwave oven). Often selecting a different channel on the router will help in these situations.

Since you are in Germany, you have the choice of 13 channels but you should know that the frequency range overlaps on neighboring channels (thus, channels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 share some of the same bandwidth; as does 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6; 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7; etc.). In the States, channels 1, 6, and 11 are the only channels that are totally independent from each other. You have a couple more options in Europe but the same separation is necessary (thus if you use 13, it overlaps with 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12). These overlapping signals can be the cause of some interference but so are weak signals on the same channel.

An additional point I would like to make concerns netsyd's suggestion that you use My ISP as the choice in the dropdown lists. While this should work as long as both lists are set the same, I generally recommend people use "Work" as the choice. Whichever you chose, you should check the settings by tapping the edit... option under either list and the Proxy Settings (tab), the top box (This network connects to the Internet) should be checked but leave everything else on this page blank. After tapping OK, make sure both dropdown lists are still set the same and OK your way back to the Today page and then soft reset. Note that these settings are not involved in your current problem with actually making the connection to the router but may become an issue once you get the network connected and then try to use IE or email.
