oh man, I just read the article. Mr. Manning there needs to be put to death. So he goes with his posse and gives some guy some crap, a guy who isn't bothering anybody at all. This guy just stands up for his rights a little bit, complaining to restaurant management, and Ricky takes his gang of miscreants, almost beats the guy to death, and then flees the scene. He seemed so bummed that the Cops pulled him over, until he realized that he has a pro football contract.
Summary execution for him.

intent, (i'm in no way condoning the actions of these people but,...) obviously it can easily be proven that these guys made the conscious decision to cause bodily harm, no arguments there.
but a group of built men who attack a "nerd/geek", if they were intending to kill this "nerd/geek" what stoped them? with built arms and bodies(and possible access to forks, knives, and spoons) if they intended to kill this "nerd/geek" what stopped them? they could of obvisously killed the "nerd/geek" with ease.
that's what would be asked. now if there was no intent to cause death how can this be a crime with a "deadly weapon" if there was no intent to cause death? wouldn't it be a crime with a "harmful weapon"?
now to the good part, shrimp
well people can die from shrimp being thrown at their heads, so if someone intends to do it, would that be a deadly weapon?
it'll be pretty hard to intentionally kill someone with a shrimp though, well the kebob would be easy to use to kill someone.
