A lot will depend on the firewall and your situation. If you have a home network then you don't need a firewall on your PC, it will be in the cable/dsl router. If you connect directly to the internet or are in a college then you need a firewall. I have eTrust EZ Firewall. Not because its good but the cable company gives it to me. It has two settings Intranet and Trusted Network. When I furst connected the axim it poped up saying a new network was discovered and I cliced Trust this network so the Axim is on the trusted network. No help huh. well on a previous firewall I simply added activsync as a program that had access to my computer and that worked just fine. On a regular windows XP SP2 fire wall There should be four activesync services in the exceptions: Activesync application, activesync Connection Manager, Activesync RAPI manager, and Activesync Service.
