I don't know what password protected program do you installed. I use the password application that came with Windows Mobile and Sprite Backup, which is scheduled to do a backup everyday. I haven't any trouble with that.

I installed "Nice Start" which is supposed to be on top of the Windows password protection.
I've just tried with the Windows password utility and I have the same behaviour
(I'm using Windows 2003SE by the way).
