External WiFi Storage

Hiya, I snapped up an Asus WL-HDD for $39.99 during a very brief sale on ZipZoomFly, and picked up a $70 60GB laptop HDD at Best Buy. Together, they represent an excellent WiFi NAS (Net-Attached Storage) solution which can be taken mobile. Imagine, all your maps at hand, and for less than an 8GB microdrive can be had. Mine is located in my car, and I can access it from my desk, using my WiFi-enabled Axim X50. In addition, you can use a USB sync cable and the program Card Export II to make a backup of all files in your storage cards, with the built-in USB host capability (the USB port can be set to automatically backup or to share files stored in a USB mass storage device). Note that their documentation says maximum 40GB, but I have access to my 60GB drive, I assume since it's formatted into two equal-sized partitions. Their online utility allows you to reformat with up to 4 partitions, so you may even be able to access 160GB, if you can find a laptop drive (2.5") that big! Also note that you can plug an external USB HDD and set the thing to share, allowing you access to even more storage!
More details and a complete review later.
