I was wrong.
Yesterday I charged the battery fully, and checked for 4 hours its charge status, and again now, 12 hours past.
The battery still shows 100%.
Apparently I was misled by the charge status after slight usage.
Previously I had an QVGA X50, where the battery was depleted more slowly. I understand this is different (worse) with VGA devices.
