In the future make a folder for downloaded exe files and another one for serial numbers of your programs just in case you ever have to do a hard reset. Periodically back that up onto a cd in case your desktop computer takes a dive. Try and document where you buy everything. I have a file folder in my Yahoo mail where I save receipts of where I buy software for this same reason.
