I got mine today. AXIM X5 Advance, PPC2003.
As expected: it sucks big time.
Even the hardware's no good: press the on/off button and sometimes it will go, sometimes it won't. Twice I had to wait 20 minutes, before I could get it 'on' again.
Active sync hung up or just disconnected. Yeah right.. it COULD be Microsoft's fault.
The PPC itself is sloooow as is very well known by now. Slower then my first ppc (Jornade 548). I did NOT succeed in opening an E-book. Not One. Not even the HELP file. Nomatter whether it was on CF on RAM.. Clicking start takes a second before one sees any reaction... etc etc.
useless.
And then the whole unit just BREATHES cheapness and low quality. Record button is unusable, so is the 'joystick' (how is that called?) and the rocker thing is horrible. Even the reset button sucks.
You know what? Even the screensavers don't fit properly!!
Bah.
I hate it!
I ordered one because my IPAQ broke down and wanted a PPC quickly. What a mistake. Don't do it!
I've wrapped it all up and sent it back tomorrow.
I'll buy a HP.. or maybe one of these new japanese things.
