We're not talking about sluggishness, here.
Except that to a user who has never had a PPC device and has no frame of reference 5 seconds is the norm. One thing we forget is that we are the minority of users. Most will never change themes or overclock or do anything more than surf handango on occassion. So for us 5 seconds is the end of the world, enthusiasts are always hardest hit by problems, becase we are more involved.

I agree that this whole problem is being made out to be the end of the Pocket PC world. 5 seconds to load an app, while slow and I would not be thrilled, isn't the death of me. THe app loads doesn't it? Wouldn't a real problem be that the app doesn't load?

Of course there isn't a guarantee that Dell will fix the problem, there aren't guarantees when M$ releases a jacked up OS, but sure enough a service pack surfaces sooner or later and patches in the meantime.

Don't for a second assume this will be left alone, way too much noise over it.

If you can't live with a slow ax for a while go get an ipaq for pete's sake. Pray HP never stumbles cuz then you'll be back here.
