Repeat after me
5 seconds for the START MENU, 40 seconds for APP.
And I'm not speaking to the world. I'm speaking to users here on this forum. I'm not predicting the end of dell. Dell will do fine.
And I don't have to pray HP doesn't screw up. If they do, and Dell makes a better product - you're right, I'll be right back to Dell, with no apologies.
Further, if HP doesn't screw up, and Dell makes a better product, than I'll still move back to the Dell. I as the consumer have that right. I'm not some fanboy in love with a companies products. I buy what works best for me right now.

I agree that this whole problem is being made out to be the end of the Pocket PC world. 5 seconds to load an app, while slow and I would not be thrilled, isn't the death of me. THe app loads doesn't it? Wouldn't a real problem be that the app doesn't load?
Of course there isn't a guarantee that Dell will fix the problem, there aren't guarantees when M$ releases a jacked up OS, but sure enough a service pack surfaces sooner or later and patches in the meantime.
Don't for a second assume this will be left alone, way too much noise over it.
If you can't live with a slow ax for a while go get an ipaq for pete's sake. Pray HP never stumbles cuz then you'll be back here.
