And how long does it take for MS to put out a service pack? Usually at least 3-4 months after the OS comes out.

You guys don't get that this is NOT an MS problem. It's a Dell problem. HP and others are not having this problem.
...right and a patch is usually available in less than a week in most cases, days in others. Patches come out all the time. I think we all understand that this isn't an M$ problem but it makes for a usable reference. I think we all understand the problem here. We know who needs to and is reportedly working on it.

The point I can't stress enough is that THESE THINGS HAPPEN. as a consumer each of us has two choices. Wait or move on. If the device is as completely useless as some say do you think that Dell is doing nothing? No matter how quiet they are being (to their detriment) I am sure they are working on it
