Install the ffmpeg plugin to get mp4 to play.
mp4 encodes may play slow, I think because they are more CPU intensive.

I come and read the posts here pretty often. Most everyone here is really nice and helpful. However, there are a couple of times I've seen really insensitive responses to simple questions. I'll try not to hesistate in asking next time.
