And "pleasing to the eye" doesn't always mean pleasing to the ear, or even pleasing to the battery, because the purpose of music is to hear! And, if I'm correct, to hear for a long time, which TCPMP allows for because of its insanely resource-friendly codecs and it's "Screen power-off" feature which allows you to turn of the screen entirely while playing music.
Pretty nifty, really! Give it more of a shot, eh? You might find that it's more likable than you first thought... :)

I will explain why I don't like TCPMP in more detail. I haave given it a shot and did not like the way it handled things. For some reason the button configuration does not work properly. I assign buttons to do what I want, but it adds things like Ctrl+Rt, Ctrl+enter, etc with no explanation of what Ctrl is. The buttons don't function as I assigned, assuming it is because of the Ctrl crap. Also, I may want different buttons for audio or video(TCPMP's niche).
Additionally, like most media players, if the album art is included as folder.jpg in the folder w/ the music files, but with OGG files it does not work. It just lists the jpg as a file in the playlist and treats it as a music file by showing in sequence after the song it is listed after. So instead of having it's generic UI, I also have a blank ass, 3.5" VGA screen, where with ALL other media players I have tried, I have beautiful VGA album art. I could care less about battery life with TCPMP, as I would only use AVRCP and TCPMP at work where I have it plugged in. Plus MortPlayer does that just as well.
Playlists are useless to me as I constantly update the music I have on my SD card. I want it to just scan my card and work. Other players do that where I have not found anything that TCPMP does that would compare.
I really have tried to give it a fair shot and it just DOES NOT measure up for audio. ...PERIOD!
