I based the list on freeware that received a 7 or better rating from pocketpcfreeware.com and were released in the last couple of years. In certain instances, I might have included programs that scored less than 7 if they were unique in what they do or if I happened to read a lot of positive comments on it. I've not tried all the programs on the list myself. Hell Chess happened to receive a 5 rating and was not as highly rated as other chess games like Chess 2.0 or Pocketcrafty, so maybe that is why I did not include it.
