I have removed my backup battery and measured the voltage when the
unit read 80, 90 and 100%. The voltage has always been 2.99 VDC +-
.01 VDC. That is 1/100th of a volt, insignificant. My conclusion is that the backup battery is not changing at all, and it is the Axim that is reading the voltage incorrectly. The
level of charge of the main battery, temperature, screen brightness,
number of apps open and processor speed at the time, could all affect
the battery % readings. So far it appears anything between 80-100% is
nothing to worry about. Will do further test if and when I see any
lower readings.
