Where do you want the power to come from? This whole warning is for people who expect their computer to supply the power through the USB ports. If you are just looking for something to plug into the wall you could always use the power adapter that came with your Axim and the small little power plug. I use the original power adapter along with an inverter when I am in my car.

I am very confused by this.
I want a cable that will allow me to sync with my laptop so I can get rid of the cradle. I am not bothered about it being charged while syncing.
However, I do want to be able to charge it in the car while using it.
I keep seeing the USB sync cables with car cigarette adapter. Are there any of those that will let me sync (not charge) connected to the PC and charge AND use while connected to the car via the USB plug? Can the car supply the extra power needed through USB or it it a limitation of USB rather than the power source?
