I have one of the earlier archos av120. It can record off of any source for video or audio. The battery used to last about 3hrs now it doesnt last more than 5 mins but it still works great on the adapter. It can hook up to a tv for viewing also. It has a 20gig hd and can be used as an extra drive on your pc or laptop. I have used it to record old lp albums into mp3 tracks. Mine will record video at two bitrates high and low but it only records in widesrceen format even though its supposed to do 4:3 it wont or I cant figure out how. It is an unsupported model now so some bugs are still left unfixed but I hear the newer models have all the bugs worked out and have swappable batteries. Also with tcpmp on my axim I can play the recorded video without any conversion on my pda so its like a tivo for my ax.
