If you look back a couple of weeks on the dell site the moderator addressed this question. Seems like he didn't have an explanation for it either. You will find the the meter offten reads 80 or 90% and then in the morning it's back at 100%. I have not heard of anyone with it less than 80%. If it shows dead or critical, take it out and polish the battery with a slightly damp cloth, wipe it clean, keep your fingers off it and reinsert the battery.
