But I do not get the network stack in windows mobile.
I have searched high and low, but not found the info I needed (which is not to say it is not elswhere posted... just not found ).
I have:
Dell Axim x50v
1 gb sd ram
GlobalSat Bluetooth GPS
GlobalSat GPRS Compact-Flash Modem
My home network is wireless and works fine :approve: .
My Axim connects and works fine. I can get to the internet (over wifi) :approve: ...
The Axim wifi connects 'My Work network'
( I still do not get the rational surrounding 'Work' and 'Home' Network': any one have a good explanation?)
What is missing:
I want to have my modem hooked up and automatically dial if the wifi connection is not avalible.
What does happend is that if I set up the modem in my 'Work' network then PIE no longer uses the wifi. If I delete the modem setting then pie sees the wifi again.
If I set the modem up as 'My ISP' then I must constantly switch the setting in 'connections'.
This is worse than the network stack in windows 95..:throwcomp
So: if someone can please post or point me to a clear, rational, description of how the Microsoft Monkey's designed this and how us mere mortals can make this work: I would be very grateful.
