There used to be an app for the Palm platform that would be useful to port to PPC: SingleButtonLauncher. It allowed for 4 apps to be defined to each hard key and it would cycle thru the list as you held down the key, launching the one you stopped on.

With MortButtons, you can assign as many apps as you like to to each button. The only difference is that you have to press the button again to select the next entry, instead of keeping it pressed...
